There is a $75 Administrative Fee that is non-refundable to confirm a child’s enrolment

Statements are issued at the start of every month and fees must be paid 2 weeks in advance.

Frequently Asked Questions

Are your teachers qualified?

We operate to the ‘100% certificated teachers’ funding model with the Ministry of Education (MOE) which means that most of our teachers are qualified and registered teachers. As our teacher to child ratio’s are often much better than the MOE’s minimum requirements, this extra staffing is provided with a mix of qualified/registered teachers, non qualified teachers, and non qualified teachers in training/student teachers.

How many children do you have?

We are licensed for 33 children. This is currently divided with a maximum of 9 in our Tui Room (under 2.5yos) and a maximum of 23 in our Matariki Room.

Do you provide food & nappies?

We have an experienced cook onsite and provide a nutritious morning tea, lunch, afternoon tea and late snack. You will need to bring nappies and any special nappy/barrier cream you would like used.

What sort of food do you provide?

We know that good nutrition is essential for healthy growth and development, and it’s a time for discovering new tastes and textures. A lot of planning goes into our menu, and we adapt it to make use of NZ grown seasonal produce. We use free-range meat and eggs and have one vegetarian meal most weeks. We avoid the use of processed meats, eg. ham and sausages. There is a Summer and Winter Menu and each season has a 4 week rotating menu. Click to see an example of our Menu.

What about allergies and dietary restrictions, can you cater for those?

Our centre is already ‘nut free’ and yes we cater for children with other allergies too. We already provide substitutes for children who do not eat certain foods for cultural reasons (eg. pork, beef).

Do you offer 20 hours ECE?

Yes we offer 20 hours free early childhood education, which are subsidised by the Ministry of Education. You can find out more about this HERE

Do you offer discounts for more than one child from the same family attending?

Yes, when two or more children from the same family attend, a 10% discount is applied to the lower fee paying child. To receive the sibling discount both children must be enrolled for a minimum of three days per week.

What about Holidays?

Our centre does not have an extended shut down period over Christmas/New Year. We only close on statutory holidays.

When your child has been enrolled continuously for 6 months, we offer 2 weeks per year at 50% fees as Holiday Leave. This is based on a calendar year and Holiday Leave does not accumulate per year. Holiday Leave must also be taken in a full week block.
